Hair and Scalp
Thinning hair and flaking can significantly detract from your appearance. Fortunately, you can use essential oils to stimulate hair growth and improve the health of your scalp while leaving a nice scent on your hair.

There are several oils recommended for scalp and hair treatment, so in the event that one is ineffective or irritates your scalp, you can try another.

Dry Scalp
Add a single drop of one of these oils to a capful of shampoo and massage directly into your scalp. Cleanse and rinse your hair as usual.
* Tea tree
* Oregano
* Wintergreen
Alternate, combine 2 drops of Vetiver oil, 2 drops of True Lavender oil, and 6 drops of carrier oil and massage into your scalp before bed. Wash your hair in the morning.

Hair Growth
Add a few drops of one of these oils to your daily shampoo or massage into your scalp to stimulate hair growth:
*Rosemary
*Tea tree
*Ylang Ylang

NOTE: My husband has been adding Cedarwood to his scalp where his hair line is receding and he has new growth that is noticeable from his work badge and his co-workers have noticed. As I understand it, this works if the hair follicles are still alive & healthy. Often the follicles simply get inflamed, irritated, or clogged with oils & hair care products, which can lead to hair falling out. Simply cleaning & stimulating follicles may encourage new growth.
